Another west coast rally has been completed and now is the time to post your thoughts and reflect.  :mail1:
The weather was superb , the roads were great and the attendees were great.

it was great to see old friends and meet new ones.

You said it right Mark....  This was another successful rally!   Weather was great, rides were great, and fun for all.  Need to take more naps to make it til midnight though.  :flag_of_truce: :wacko3:
The plan for next year is right on track too.  It's a hell of a clubhouse boys and girls, let's keep this rolling along; like being 8 years old and waiting for christmas to come around again!

The muse is upon me . :morning1:

The mood of the rally was excitement and joy at seeing all the fj's lined up and ready to run . soon to be thrust into high gear and conquer the highway set before them. Myself with a new rear tire with only 10 miles on it and not scuffed in yet, and no real miles on the recent upgrades of wider front wheel. :shok:

After a few miles at speed everything was sweet and the fj performed awesome .

For me the rally has always been a nice get away from the rat race and a wonderful time to spend with other fj nuts and ride and chill out in the beautiful forests of california.

The friends made and the rides taken are always a lift up to my soul.

Thanks go out to jeff and theresa for the fj packs , they will be used often, this weekend for starts.

Thanks to Garth for the fireworks

Thanks to all for a great time .

I was relieved to see the Arizona guys made it back without problems. Thanks to all for welcoming me the gang, especially the guys that did so much in putting the rally together (even though I suspect them for the 3:00 am fire drill). In retrospect it was stupid that I did not wake Mark and Klavdy Sunday morning to say adios. Great guys, as were all. Favorite run was the road to Leggat (spelled wrong I'm sure). The impromptu BBQ was better than the Purple Thistle (I ate too much there too). We must do the BBQ again next year. Can we keep Ed under control? His insane bike antics in the camp may bar us from all KOA's.
Thank for the pics Steve. Steve was a great riding buddy for me; hope I did not hold him back too much.
Looking forward to next year!

Nice pics, but....  You call that a camp fire??!!

:)

Jealous, looks like you guys had a great time.

If anyone wants copies of the pics you can download the ones you want from the site -- If you want the lot ... then PM me with your address.  I will be out of own for about 2.5 weeks starting tomorrow so I will tend to the requests upon my return.

Mike, you didn't hold me back at all ... I second the feeling; we matched up well for not having met prior to the event.  Its too bad I didn't have my 86 running .... we would have been twins.

To  all  . If you missed the link to my pics ...here it is again.  I have added a few more pics since the initial post.

From the POLE LEASE perspective ... I didn't see any on the 20 or the 16 ... but I had one turn in front of me on the I-5 after someone else.  For the most part it was a cruise down the I-5 averaging about 85-90mph which was very comfortable for the FJ....

I made it home by 7pm ... about 9.1 hours moving time and 1.5 hrs stopped.
