Hi everyone, new to the FJ and new to the group. Ive just purchased the bike of my partner and ive had some issues. Was on a rideout, indicators and heated grips started playing up and then the bike died and wouldnd start again. We replaced the Battery and the rectifier as it was long overdue anyway so i didnt mind spending on the parts even without testing. Unfortunately the problem is still there and i barely made it to work before she died. I know everybody says to check all the connections but I have no experience with mechanics but happy to learn. I cannot find a red connector for the life of me so where would that thing be at as the grommet coming from the alternator goes into a white one. Which wires should i check, what am i looking for exactly? Thanks

What year FJ?

The red plug is not always red...it's under the right side cover.
Look for a plug with 4 wires (two each side) with a red wire and brown wire.

Other than that....I suggest that you take your bike into a shop.
