to putting one of these beast  on the center stand?
I could put my 1100 wing on the center stand with one hand..
If feels like the front wheel is welded to the floor trying to put my fj on it.

My FJ is much easier to put on the centerstand than my cb 750.
I just grab the left handle bar grip with my left hand push and hold the kickstand down with my left foot slip my right hand through the slot in the right side cover grab the handle and lift straight up and it pops right up on the stand with ease.

That's what I do as well but I have to put everything I got into getting it on the stand. Its almost like the stand mounting point is to far back.

Try parking the rear wheel about an inch higher than the front (piece of wood). Then try the center stand again. It will be easier. With the rear raised on my 89, the center stand is not an issue. I now park with the wood under the center stand when I lube the chain or work on the rear.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

I find my FJ is getting heavier as I get older, and my right knee is bad. What I have been doing is to make a halfhearted attempt to get it on the stand, let it sink down on the suspension, then go for it on the rebound.

The kickstand pivot bolts develop deep grooves over time . The holes in the kickstand that the pivot bolts go through get elongated and oval shaped at the same time. The centerstand will begin to hang low when in the up position.
I think RPM still has the pivot bolts.
