RIP Robert D Raduechel 02/12/2026

It is with profound sadness that I pass along the recent passing of my father.

I've tried to write this post several times since his passing, but I just can't seem to find the words fulfilling of his legacy.

Born in July, 1942 he led a very full life and was instrumental in not only our families lives, but the lives of many other as well.

He taught high school and Junior College level automotive technologies for 37 years. We tried to count the number students he'd taught over that timeframe, but it's just too many to count.

Hell, I was rolling around the high school auto shop on a creeper when I was three years old. He taught, guided and instilled high standards and values upon me and made me the man I am today. He had me riding a minibike at 7, fun karts at 10 and racing go karts at 11 years old.

He was also very instrumental in my son's, Robert and Ryan's lives as well. He was able to retire and spend a lot of time with them as they grew up into men.

He was also very fortunate to see the next generation of Raduechel's into this world with his two great grandsons, Russell and Rexford.

Many FJ owners who came to the RPM shop had an opportunity to meet my dad. My dad didn't know any strangers, he would strike up a conversation with everyone he met.

I miss my dad every day as he was such a big part of my life. From the day I was born until the day he died, he was guiding me.

I never met your father but the qualitys you describe and admire of your dad I have seen strongly when dealing with you and with Robert (I don't know Ryan very well but I would guess he also has many of those same qualitys).
I'm fortunate to have my children and grand kids close by and get to be  closely involved in their daily lives. Nothing makes me happier than seeing them display the traits and morals that I value. I bet you, your kids and your grand kids brought your dad a lot of joy.

Sad news.  It sounds like he was a Man's man.  You were fortunate to have a father like him.

Randy, I was fortunate to meet your dad several times while visiting Oakdale.
He was a kind gentleman with a keen sense of humor and some very cool stories.

Always remember the big picture: In life's lottery you sure drew a winning ticket to have a dad like that.

My condolences amigo.

Pat
