86' 1200. I just got new carbs and I noticed they don't have a spot for 2 hoses that were on my old carbs. Can I run with the hoses not connected to anything?

I think those hoses might go to the evaporator canisters on the california model to route fumes through the carbon in the canisters. I don't think you need to worry about hooking them back up. Just follow them and if they go to two black soda can looking canisters that's prob what it is.

Tobin, I responded to your email.

Those hoses are to the charcoal canisters and there is no access for them on the new carbs.

You can leave them unhooked or remove the canister system all together.
