Loud Crackling sound when accelerating. Seems to come from the rear wheel.

The owners manual calls to check the chain while up on the center stand.
I disagree especially if you have your rear end raised up as many of us do.
When you take the bike off the center stand the chain tightens often resulting in over tightening of the chain.
I do my final check my chain while my bike is on the ground, always remembering....
A loose chain is a happy chain.

I'm sure you're aware of it but its goes without saying, check your chain slack. You definitely don't want to be outside the range on either side with the amount of torque these bikes have. I myself like to ride on the looser side of the spec.  Chain and sprocket alignment too, just in case you weren't aware
