Fuel hose size and type for '89 pumped FJ

As I'm looking forward to another tank removal I thought it might be worth replacing my fuel hoses. The one from the tank is original and the other a braided replacement type hose. Looking online it's hard to find definitive sizes. It seems that the tank to pump is 8mm ID and the Pump to carbs 6mm. Please could someone confirm that this is right. Does the pressurised side of the pump need special high pressure hose?, normal clamps?. I am going to look for some E10 proof hose. Are there any recommendations?. I understand that the tank to pump hose is shaped, will it cause me any issues just using straight line.

Many thanks

Rob

In addition to the pre-pump under tank filter I'm running this post-pump between my pump and my carbs, has 10 micron filtering, can't really get better than that

Thanks very much for the links and info. The extra filter looks beautifully made. Unfortunately, as I'm in the UK buying from RPM is prohibitive, as shipping is just too much.
If you know the pipe IDs I'd be grateful.

The hose from the fuel filter to the fuel pump is a special molded hose. It is 8mm on the fuel filter side and 6mm on the fuel pump side.

Loose the stock air box then you have plenty of room to use automotive heavy walled fuel line.

As Robert said, you need 2 different sizes of hose. I used 5/16" (7.95mm) and 1/4" (6.35mm)

Be careful *do not* try and stretch the small hose over the large fuel filter outlet.
Lots of heat under there, the stretched hose can crack and leak.  :bomb:

Better to come into the fuel filter and out ~6" with the big hose, then get a barbed brass step down hose fitting to transition to the smaller hose....run the smaller hose to your fuel pump.

I prefer the uniform compression of spring clamps vs worm clamps.

Cheers
