VIN tag replacement?

When my FJ was stolen back in the early 90's.
The asshole tried to remove my VIN decal under the fro t fairing. He left only the part with the last 3 numbers.
I wonder how receptive Yamaha would be in helping me replace it or duplicate it.

eBay has a bunch of sellers that offer vin tags. I never needed to order one but I doubt anyone would question it...just rough it up a bit so it looks a bit used
