Brighter Tail / brake Light Bulbs or Extra Tail / brake Light?

Has anyone upgraded their tail light / brake light bulbs to something brighter? Or wired in an extra LED tail/brake light?

The stock bulbs are a bit dull IMO and I'd like to have a little something extra to make every effort to stop the car behind me. I see some cheapo LED tail lights on amazon I could wire up at the bottom of my license plate but wondering what anyone else has done. An upgrade to the stock tail light would be ideal.

For my 6V GN400 they did not have bulbs and the Amazon cheapies had a very short life on my non-counterbalanced single. I ended up drilling a couple holes in the base and potting the electronics with shoo goo and that seems to increase reliability.

Clever! I already ordered the silvana bulbs and the extender but this looks like a good option too.

I did some surgery on my back light to slim down the side profile to match the lines of my FJ...I also added LED's at the same time.

wow that looks great and if I didn't know the bike and saw that I would think it was stock, those are the best mods IMO, the ones that still look stock unless you know better.
