92 fj1200 resto mod

Well... I've added bike no 18 to my collection...What's wrong with me?
I just couldn't pass this one up. 7400 miles brand new flatslides, brand new Vance n Hines exhaust, pods, gsxr wheel, powder coated just about everything replaced every bearing, all the rubber grommets, everything. I asked him why he replaced the steering stem bearings when the bike only had 7400 miles on it. He looked at me like that's a dumb question. And said "Because that's what you do!"
The only thing I could say bad about the bike is the frame looked like it had sat with water in all the lower spots rust started in the low spots.
He said he thinks the previous owner being in California only had a carport and not a garage.
And the swingarm has marks that look like it was from tiedowns.
He has 5 other bikes he's working on in various stages. And 2024 goldwing? (I'm not into touring bikes or Hondas or new bikes) for his girlfriend so she would ride on the back with him.
He had a 97 vmax sitting next to the fj with inverted forks, custom triples, custom wheels, wider back tire,on and on. That wasn't finished yet. But looked better than a bike that just rolled off the assembly line. Wow.

Wow I just physically counted. My bikes I only have 16. But 9 of them are fjs. 2 84s, 4 86s, 1 87, 1 89 and now 1 92. 1 84, 1 86, and the 87 are just complete bikes in parts.

Yes it did....when a for sale post links a eBay or Craig's List link as the for sale info, we leave the post up...until the eBay or Craig's List link is closed....
Then, the post on this forum is automatically deleted.....

However, if the seller posts here with all the info, we leave the for sale post up until the seller tells us it's sold... then we keep the post but mark it as "sold"

Since it's only 16, I'll be sure to post any more Wisconsin area FJs that pop up.

Rode mine today, but it may be a while again as I'm getting cataract surgery.

Got home took it off the truck. Started raining. 
Been working all weekend. Leaving tomorrow to go down by my brother's. In okc. To help one build his house. And help the other turn the 4×4 ambulance he bought into an adventure camper.woohoo
Be down there for 11 days. So won't get to mess with the new bike for a while.

16 - good grief!  I've been getting the stink-eye lately because a third bike has been materializing out of nowhere ...
I decided to do a streetfighter project out of my spare/extra parts that I've been stockpiling over the years - hey, they take up less space when assembled!

I've been riding my FJ so little that maybe I should just park it among the flock at Dan's place.

I'm actually debating about putting the flatslides on my 1350r. He gave me all kinds of spares. When he took the stock carbs off. He completely rebuilt them. Put RPM's stainless bolt kit. Replaced every single seal. And all jets. Cleaned them in his ultrasonic cleaner. They are so clean they  look brand new. Then he wrapped them in plastic and put them in the original box for the flatslides. I was going to use them to convert one of the gravity bikes. But I'll probably put them back on the 92.
He even gave me all the jets and screws he took out of the original carbs. And a new feul pump he had just in case.
