Over the last 12 months, the number of my local riding buddies (and fellow VJMC members) who have bought FJ's has been steadily rising. So much so that our local VJMC Section are calling us their "Splinter Group", as a couple of us normally turn up on our FJ's to club events/meetings.

Well, this evening, with a new Splinter Group member (on the 3XW) on board, we arrived at our usual monthly VJMC social evening "em masse". To say it raised a laugh would definitely be an understatement, with our VJ section "Administrator" looking particularly flustered that his "meeting" had been hi-jacked by the Splinter Group  :sarcastic:

We also took a photo just as we were leaving to demonstrate the difference between the standard headlight brightness (on the 2 ends) and the LED headlight brightness.

Anyway, a really great, fun night was had by (almost) everyone  :good2:

Dean,

What are the Part Numbers for the three brightest headlight bulbs in your group?
I have a 1985 FJ 1100AXB.
Cheers,
Red

P.S. Life is too short, and health is too valuable, to ride on cheap parade-duty tires.

Hi Red, they're OSRAM P43t bulbs, basically plug and play. The next brightest in the photo is a cheap eBay LED headlight bulb.

LOL..... that's "Captain Ball-ache" (otherwise known as Graham). It came up for sale recently for a very good price and he couldn't resist it  :sarcastic:

Speaking of resistance (and my lack of it) I'm off to the south coast again tomorrow to pick up another FJ 1200 (3CV), in dark blue with the light blue and red stripes. It's a project bike, but it's totally complete with all ownership documentation and for £150 (less than $200 US), it couldn't be ignored.  :good2:
