Hi everyone,

I'll be visiting Australia for the very first time, for three weeks in April, before heading out to a couple of Polynesian islands. Travelling with my finacée. We'll do a roadtrip by car along the east coast. Starting in Sydney and spending a lot of time slowly going northwards to Brisbane.

We've got time and it'll be a long journey before I'm back home in Norway in late June and can ride again, so, are there any motorcycle related things along the east coast or nearby you can recommend? I don't know specifically what, just anything.

All the best

G'day Tom,

Nice and toasty here at present 31°c at 9pm.

Not sure what you like to see but there is Nabiac Motorcycle Museum https://nationalmotorcyclemuseum.com.au/ about 4hrs north of Sydney, last time there it had a 1100 just past the checkin counter.
Local Cafe that plenty of motorcycles stop just north of Sydney at Mt White but that's more crowded on the weekends and has a lot of old bikes visit too.
You've just missed the cyclone around Brisbane but maybe another could be organised  :good:

Forster/Tuncurry have great beaches and nice lake, I always enjoy going there.

Hope the weathers good for your trip, should be nice weather temps.

I know you'll be in a car but maybe a few roads that wish you had a motorcycle might be nice too.

What do you like to see or do, 3 weeks is along time to go just up to Brisbane.

Cheers
Alan

Hi Alan,

Thanks for the suggestions! We'll explore some of the cities and towns more or less on the spot, go to a lot of beaches, swim and run, skydive, maybe visit some of those national parks inland of the east coast. Travel slowly.

I do like extreme weather and haven't experienced a cyclone before. I always liked the term but I'll be careful what I wish for.

If you have any more suggestions for activities along these lines, or other tips if you think we have more time than we possibly can spend, I'm very open to hear them. Any detours you think we really should consider, maybe?
