Great riding all around that area if you have never been. I go up each year and spend a week at deals gap "resort" during our annual 2 stroke meet. I also try and go up at least one other time each year. If you can ever pull it off, go up on the weekdays. No one around at all. Have a great time!

we go up about five or six times a year I like staying at deals but it's become quite a zoo whereas in robbinsville I can easily jump on the skyway or take wayah rd. to Franklin and 28 back. Foothills is excellent too

yes, you nailed all the good spots. Great loop is Robbinsville to Cherohala, to Tellico, down 68 to Murphy and back up 74 to 129.

I was just there at the end of September for the Annual Vintage Yamaha Rally.
I love riding in that area.
I usually tent camp or stay in one of the Bunkhouses at the Ironhorse Motorcycle Lodge in Stecoah.
