Hi,

Are on a FJ 1200 3CV series from 1988/1989 its frame-number and engineblock-numbers the same?

On my bike the frame-number is 000150 and the engineblock-number is 000614.
Is there somewhere a "factory" list to see if the engineblock is original belonging to the frame, when it left the factory in Japan.
Or is my engineblock replaced during the years...?

Pat Conlon

The last 6 numbers on the frame should match the engine numbers. Your engine has been replaced.

Thanks for the reply.
That's a disappointment..damm  :dash2:

Unless you are striving for a museum quality concours's restoration, a replaced engine is no big deal. If you ride your bike long enough, sooner or later the engine wears out.
These FJ's are not expensive bikes, that's why they are such a great bang for the buck value.

Relax, go for a ride, enjoy your FJ, it's all good.

Cheers

Pat
