Hello m8s

Was riding my fj1200 today wo helmet, and could sudently hear lots of crackling from the front fairing, and its like everythings a bit loose.

Is this normal.
Possible fj1200 buyer: How do you adjust sag?

Fj1200 salesman: Sack?

Pat Conlon

No, it's not normal....yet common on 40 year old bikes. Start with the windscreen, see if that helps....if not, remove the fairing. Pay attention to the vibration bushings on the headlight and speedometer cluster. They dry up and loose their elasticity...get fresh bushings, torque the fasteners correctly.

Cheers

Pat

In fact, get fresh bushings for your side covers while you're at it...

Looked at it today. And most mount holes had cracks in them. I found ut this was normal for the shakey fj1200. I will look for the rubber suspend screwvs from the later models.
