Okay, the photo gallery is now up.  You access it by clicking on the "GALLERY" button in the menu bar above.  It even allows users to create their own PUBLIC galleries.  Let's keep the photos Motorcycle related.  It also allows bulk uploads for up to 5 photos at a time.  It will automaticially resize any photo - so you don't have to worry about that.  It also does A LOT of other pretty cool things.

In fact, there are so many options it may be a little confusing.  If you have questions about how to use it, please post here.

Harvy

Marsh, what are you using as the image tuning engine?

Harvy
FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.

Harvy,

I don't think I understand your question.  I am using a module built for this type of forum called "SMF Gallery Pro".  I had to purchase it for $50.00 - and that includes a year of updates supposedly.  Is that what you meant?

Harvy

More or less Marsh.............We use an app from Agfa called Intellitune at work for tuning images which appear in our publications, We also use Adobe Photoshop Server to "normalise" all editorial and advertising photos........but it all cost a bit more than $50.

I will look at the software....

Cheers mate.

Harvy, based on your response, I think either you - or I was confused.  Your response indicates that you meant what kind of graphics software do I use on my personal computer.

A bit of everything really.  Photoshop, old Jasc Paint Shop Pro, Macromedia Fireworks, etc.

I thought you were referring to what kind of photo gallery software I installed on this forum.

This forum is not hosted on my own personal server.

Marsh Thanks for all that you have done!!! I CAN NOT BELIEVE HOW FAST YOU GOT THIS UP AND GOING and how fast you are tuning it and responding to the suggestions.

Thanks from one and all

Marsh, is it possible to add a search function, to search "all photos" by member names?
Or is this something that is outside the capabilities of the smf software?

When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

Hi Marsh,
I uploaded 75 photos today of my trip to Colorado. There are some duplicates that I would like to delete but it says I don't have permission. No biggie, just thought you should know. Also what's the story on the unapproved versus approved photos?

You have permission now - sorry about that!  Also - all images should be approved by default.  The Unapprove setting should just be for me or others to flag photos as inappropriate - I think.  Let me know if you are seeing some of your photos as unapproved.  According to my control panel - all photos are approved.

Let me just say. YOU ROCK my friend!!  :drinks:

......  Marsh,... If you want to make more room for others,... you can delete my pic's from the gallery.
.... I am changing so many things to my FJ, and taking pic's as I go..... But, I am not going to put them up until I am done......... I do not want to take up that much space.
.... before,... I could delete them myself,... It looks like now, I can not.
