I joined here after joining the FB FJ1200 group. Just brought home a non running 1992 FJ1200AD and look forward to getting her reliably back on the road. I started a thread here:

Welcome!  You got a great deal. Should not be hard starting. I might guess either the passage from the bowls to the enrichening circuit is plugged up, or possibly the pilot jets.  Alcohol in the fuel is really bad especially if the bike sits for a while.

Welcome, yep I agree with Bryan, a bubble bath (ultrasound) and fresh O rings in the carbs will work wonders.
