new/old fj1100 owner

Hi, just bought a 1 owner 85 fj1100 from the original owner.  Bike has 23,800 miles on it.  It has been sitting for 7 yrs , but tank inside looks good, but carbs were slug full of crud so rebuilding them as we speak.  I bought a new fj600 in 84 and owned it till 89 then sold it while in the army.  great to find this site, I,m sure I,ll need it.

Welcome, where are you located?  Got a name? We are kind of informal here.
Must be the season for gummed up carbs. We have some cleaning tutorials over in our Carb Files section.
When you disassemble the carbs for cleaning, replace all the O rings and JIS screws, buy this $24 kit:
