Footpeg Removal/Replacement

It looks like there are some chrome caps or something on the footpegs. Do I pry them off somehow or do I remove the whole footpeg bracket and remove the bolts from the backside?
Figured I would ask before I just start taking things apart.

Just the small center cap is removed, then a Allen wrench is used to remove the bolt.
