nothing to do with bikes but im just stoked i put together my first spring brake hub last night. took 8 hours. now i have to write up a procedure on how why what to look for and how to assemble. with pictures  :yahoo: now where s my crayons???? :scratch_one-s_head:

When you said spring brake hub, I'm thinking of those Spring canisters you see under the axles of Big Rigs. The ones that are designed to lock up the brakes in case the air pressure fails.......or designed to KILL you if you try to take one apart the wrong way. :bomb:

yes, not the little canister s but a 20 spring internal brake hub with friction and steel plates like a bike clutch, but the spring pressure is rated at 10 000kg, so .... it'd be a heavy clutch, they are off underground mining carts and front bucket loaders. heaps of fun!!!!
