I've been a bit absent recently.

Apologies to all for a bit of an "unforced absence"......I've just been busy both riding my FJ, visiting people and getting on with everyday tasks on my own for my son and the dog while my wife has been on an emergency trip to the USA to visit an ill sister, plus taking the opportunity to visit some healthy siblings as well (CT, IN and SC).

On the positive side, I've attended 3 Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club events and taken part in a couple of ride-outs, had a couple of rides with friends, helping a new friend to sort out his ailing, new to him, 89 FJ 1200 and attending a couple of Bike Night social events.

My wife reckons I've enjoyed myself and done so much that she needs to go away and leave me on my own more often  :sarcastic:

One of the recent highlights was spending 45 minutes on a VJMC ride, sat behind a cackling, wailing, glorious smelling, NS 400 R (ah....2 stroke triples.....my heaven !!! :good2:) while making "good progress" around some fairly local back lanes. Unfortunately, I was enjoying myself so much, I didn't take any photo's.

Never mind though, thought I'd put up a couple of posts after this from Saturday evening and today, to give you a little flavour of the biking scene in the UK.

P.S. Life is too short, and health is too valuable, to ride on cheap parade-duty tires.

We really need a 'like' tag on forums

As long as we don't have Hate/Dislike/Karma points. That experiment (early days before Randy) did not go well :bad:. It was turned off before the forum imploded like the Yahoo FJ group.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

'86 Ambulance - Bent frame, cracked case, due for an overhaul
'89 Stormy Blue - Suits my Dark Side

Sounds like i shouldnt even ask.....karma points hmmmm sounds a bit 'try hard'

Perhaps an ' i agree' or ' what he/she said above'  is really the intent of 'like'
Dunno about those others....'if you haven't anything nice or helpful to say the don't' is what i was always taught :-)
