Not sure if its just me, but I've seen no new posts since the new software was launched.  I hit the "Show unread posts since last visit" and I've yet to see anything this week.

I am having the same problem. The web guy is working on it. The work around for now is to hit the show unread posts since last visit, when that comes up empty there is another link (it is the same color as teh rest of the text) Click here to try all unread topics. It will then show you posts in a list format by most recent time posted/replied.

The old Most Recent Posts section was by far the most useful of any forum I'm on.

It's a shame that's been lost !

We are currently trying to resolve the issues, but the host has stopped supporting this format. We were able to find a different host to transfer the files over, but some things are different.

With that said, we are also working on a total new format to upgrade to current software.

The look and function of the new format will also be different, but with software changes, we have to update...

Please be patient and keep report issues you are having/seeing. We will try and get them resolved if possible.

Frankly, we dodged a bullet as the forum was almost totally lost. Since this occured, we cannot afford to stay with this format to ensure we can keep going for many more years to come.

Thank you for your continued support.

Is this the most recent button at the top of every page or the one in the stats section near the bottom of the home page ?

On the old site I was automatically logged in to read all the unread posts, so whenever I clicked on the forum icon it would take me straight to all the new posts, plus I had access to most of the other functions that the site offered. This new format showed me that I was logged in with my name and picture displayed at the top, but if I clicked on something It would say that I needed to log in.

Once I remembered what my password was and logged in again I seem to have the same access to the home page as before only the colour layout seems a bit lighter than before, all the files etc are still there.

I just want to thank Randy and Robert for keeping this forum going, there's an untold wealth of information stored here over the years concerning these bikes as well as the RPM online parts store, and to lose all that because of some computer glitch would be a travesty. Just want to say thanks and keep up the good work.

Too young to be old but old enough to know better.

I've been able to 'view unread posts since last visit', but the login says my password is incorrect the first time I try but lets me in after entering the same password.

I know I'm probably like most who prefer not to have things change on me - but since change was needed - I want to say "Job Well Done!"

I have seen other once-great forums die painful deaths by not keeping up with needed changes or security issues, etc.  Glad to see the proactive response to prevent losing the wealth of knowledge on this site - especially after we lost the yahoo group, Barry Edward's site seems to be slowly losing pages, etc.

Thanks!   :drinks:

If you use the one at the bottom of the page, does that one show you the posts?

That's the one Randy, it's just in the most awkward place possible for easy reference. So awkward, I hadn't spotted it after almost a week of using the new layout. If that link could be put up the top beside these two (the "Show Unread Posts" and "Show New Posts") it would be perfect - just where the eye is drawn to !

Where it is now, I have to scroll down off the bottom of my visible screen to get to it.

Trying to sort through it.

The most recent button at the top of the page works for me, so there as some coding issues with different internet platforms.

Hopefully once we get over to the new forum platform, these issues will be a thing of the past and there will be a better format overall.

Thanks for you patience. I know FJ's so when it come to computer programming I'm out to lunch.

Randy, it is the one at the top.  That still shows nothing, does nothing.  I found the one at the bottom (didn't realize it was there until you mentioned it).  That one does take me to the new posts.

Thanks for the tip.

Can you advise on the browser service you're using?

The most recent button on the top of the page is working for me on both my cell and desktop . Others are reporting it either works or doesn't, so now it might come down to tej browsers service and writing code to fix the issue (s)
