So, did the repaired relay work in the bike?

If so, I suggest that we should bolt the cap back on, like on this old water/fuel separator.  Some RTV sealant would help.

Yep, that's me, just a young pup.  The sediment bowl traps sediment, water, and whatever else may fall out of the gas.  Shown upside down for clarity.
I'd like to put one on my bike, my car, and my truck, but now they are all plastic, and many can't handle the pressure of a fuel pump.  So, they cost a fortune.  This little unit is just too simple for 'em.

Haha, true, like the rest of the cars back then. I have a tiny one hanging on my garage wall, it's the smallest one I've ever seen. Mind you, the FJ's aren't too far removed from that simplicity.

The BMW specific OBD11 diagnostic tool for their bikes costs twice as much as I paid for my last FJ, and it's not even made by them! Life was a lot simpler when you could just look at the bowl to see if fuel was present.
