I don't want to make anyone angry, just some thoughts.

1.  I know this is not a "licensed organization" (CMA, GWWRA, GWTA, HOG, AMA, HSRA, STAR, ect.).  But a calender of events submitted by members would be great.  Poker runs, charity events, rallies, or any activities would be great.  I know I'll have the Fj  in Indianola, Ia for one bike night and in the Ride for the Cure to the Iowa Speedway.

2.  Rally.  It seems that this and every group has the same rally.  East Coast and West Coast at the same spot.  And trailer????  Only a vendor trailers their bike.  I bought this thing to ride...  What ever happened to the Midwest?  How about the Mountain Zone?  Has anyone thought about a National Rally in the Middle?  I can't make it to the Spring East Rally but trying to make time for the Fall.

3.  Vendors:  There are people and companies that actually have products for the Fj.  Plus you have some people that common have necessities for riding.  Leather, electronics, electric shift,  How about electric foot pegs?  Heated grips and wrapped in leather.  Luggage?  Air in your seat?  that is a start.  For those of you that know I am an artist, art is way down the list. The vendors usually help pay for this and rallies.  Not to mention keeping your bike super clean and shiny.

4.  Etc.  Great forum if you are trying to make an FJ into a R1.  Never happen.  Geometrics will not allow it.  It is like turning a Goldwing into a super bike.  The Fj is a sport tourng machine and should be used that way.  You wouldn't try to make it a dirt bike.

In etc.  Why in the hell does a motorcycle origination space have room for guns???????  I have more than 40 rifles, 30 shotguns, and assorted pistols.  I am a collector but this is not the place that I will talk about guns.  That is reserved for another group!!!!!!  Talk about bikes and riding........

Joe, I don't think you have really done enough research on us yet.  A lot of us have been friends a long time.  We always welcome new friends.  This is really a clubhouse for us.  We did have a Central Rally in Colorado in 2005 that I organized.  It was a lot of fun.  We never really got off the ground for the 2nd one...(I myself couldn't make it....and neither could most...it ended up a 3 person event I think).  There is a bit more involved in these things than you might think.  I'm not entirely sure we are the poker run type.  Do some more research on the rally thing...before you make the trailer comments.  Just a suggestion.  We do ride.  Trust me on this one.  Show up to one and you will see.

As far as vendors at rallies go...show up to one and you will see that we are not quite there yet...not sure we would want to be...

WOW....the R1 comment...um...I can ride circles around most guys on an R1 (while on my modified FJ) on a twisty road...you can hold me to that.  So can many of the others on this forum and that participate in our rallies.  In fact, it is mostly guests who show up on R1s that TRY to keep up with us that end up crashing.  That is a whole other topic as well.  Again, if you had been to some of the East Coast Rallies you would see this (the R1 crashes) first hand.

And you know what?  I have had a 2007 Ducati 1098 in my possesion since last summer.  If I were racing myself, I could beat me in tight technical twisties on my FJ EVERY TIME compared to myself riding the 1098.  Seriously...the power is awesome...but the damn thing runs wide in the turns.  Maybe give me a couple years - and some mods - and I could do better than my FJ.  Get the point?  It is generally the rider skill level and not the bike...but take a good rider skill level...combine it with a modded FJ that the rider has had a few years of comfort level to build...and it can do some amazing things.  Doesn't sound like you know this yet...get to a rally and you will get some insight to this.  Of course, this applies to most all bikes as well...just don't doubt the things that can be accomplished on an FJ.

And there is a whole long history about the gun thing with the Yahoo forum...you'd have to read up on that as well.  There is a good reason for that section...trust me.  We will keep it.  I'll let others fill in more details about the above comments...I don't have any more time tonight.

BTW: awesome engraving art!  I checked out your website and was impressed by your talent.  I just think you may have us confused with your main clientele...

hahaha well i guess we have different sections for different types of conversations..you would think a gun enthusiast/motorcycle enthusiast would appreciate having a "cyberclubhouse" where the brethren could air their conversations in the appropriate rooms. and so far there is PLENTY of M/C talk goin on  ;D :D

hell usually it's me that breaks the rules and posts off topic, so i like having a format where there is a place for my slow minded ass to post.
