Sorry I Offended You

Amazing weekend, despite the setbacks... Frank and Diane were first-class hosts, and their home is absolutely spectacular. The roads provided a juicy combination of high-speed sweepers with wide-open views, and twisty, technical downhills that keep you on your toes. I will definitely return for more.

The cabin by the shore of Lake Billy Chinook was perfect, and thanks so much to Diane for the linens and accessories she graciously provided. None of us had thought about pillows or sheets.

I made a command decision over the weekend before the rally, and picked up a more modern bike (for the commute, mainly, but decided to bring it to get some seat time in a more aggressive setting). I'm afraid to say it's a Honda... but holy shit, I'm hooked.

Note: The MoTow was flawless. Ask Craig - I was loaded up and ready to roll in 10 minutes.

Astute observers will notice the absence of a clutch lever and shifter. This is a 2010 VFR1200 DCT - "Dual Clutch Transmission"  Fully automatic. It's like riding a 170HP Moped. It took some adjustment, but it is amazing.

All in all, the rally was another great weekend of riding and "guy time". Can't wait for the next one.
