GSXF Rear Brake Caliper amounting Bracket

Good morning everyone,

I am switching out the rear wheel to the GSXR. Things are going fine. I don't like the idea of keeping the brake stay on a grade 8 bolt hanging out your foot peg hole. I know some of you do, but it's not for me.

So I was about to weld a tab to the bottom of the swing arm to mount the GSXR torque arm to it, because I also I don't to go to the swing arm bolt, but then i learned slightly about the GSXF caliper bracket for top mounting and then I can keep my more or less original looking setup and be at peace.

So a few questions regarding the GSXF caliper mounting bracket, caliper, torque arm.

Years that work and what model?
Do you need all GSXF parts caliper, torque arm, and mounting bracket, or can the mounting bracket attach to the gsxr caliper?
And perhaps anything else that may be relevant to this. Thanks!

Using a GSXF Top mount caliper with the GSXR rear Wheel Swap
Here is what it requires.

1989 to 1997 GSX750F Katana Caliper Or GSX600 F Katana 89-97 these come in either black or gold

You need the GSXR rear wheel including brake mounting bracket. The Caliper will mount directly to this bracket.

You need stock FJ Torque arm/brake stay. Which will be mounted on to the outside of the caliper and the outside of the mounting tab, unless you can put the bends, as it will not clear the 180 tire running it straight normal mount. Use a high strength bolt with a spacer of some sort between the fork on the each side of the torque arm. Though I know that other torque arms can be used which have a bend in it already, I am not aware of which ones yet. Will update, if I find out.
