How do I know if I replied to a PM?

Hi,
New here and loving all the info & stories. I've got a quick, n00b question:
I received a few PM's, and I *think* I replied to them, but my Outbox doesn't show anything.
Not a huge deal, but I just wanted to make sure that the folks that PM'd me got a response.
Thanks,

There is a small box at the bottom you must check before you send that says save a copy to my outbox.

THANK YOU!
Totally either scrolled past that or just didn't see it entirely.
