Hi Campers

I have been notified that as few of the Bermagui chapter will be in my town this weekend from the 8th Nov. So to celebrate this occasion I am holding a super short notice shed day and ride. Lets just call it the "Northern New South Wales Inaugral Rally".

I am told the Bremi guys are staying at the Crown Hotel here in Grafton and David and Janet Moore will be at my place with some possible guest apperances from the QLD chapter.

Plan is to meet at my place ( 26 Clarence Street Grafton) on the Saturday morning for a chin wag and some tyre kicking than a mystry ride around the Clarence valley.

Lucky bastards, we're still limited to 25 km from home.

Have fun!

Hi guys. After a bit of discussion with Christina (my partner) we have decided on a agenda for the weekend. We will have (so far) about 10 here for the event, and we have decided to put on brekkie on Saturday morning with bacon and eggs on the Barbie.

The talk, shoot the breeze, kick tyres or do some stuff on bikes for a bit (as long as it takes)

Then head off on a magical mystery tour for a few hours.

In the arvo/evening back to Casa Lowe for drinks, light the fire pit and pass the hat around for pizza, until he have enough excitement.

How does this sound?

I vote that we ride that mountain road that we did last year, up behind Coffs Harbour. I"m sure Alf, Johno and Greg would also be voting for that as well.
What a great bit of road and a good coffee at the end of it. Can't remember the name of the little town but I sure remember that we all had a hoot.
Looking forward to catching up . Regards, Pete.  :good2:

Mark, give Pete a box of spanners, a can of beer and a few hours and you'll riding your new bike the next day.

Noel
Noel, I'd prefer it the other way around. A box of beer and a can of spanners!

That's true Pete, you can always make do without the right tools but when the beer runs out it runs out.

The Shed day/rally has now been run, and even though the numbers were not huge (9 riders) much fun and entertainment was had.

We kicked off with a BBQ breakfast at my house with some quick maintenance work done on some of the bikes, then headed off for our ride up to Ulong (just west of Coffs Harbour, NSW) where we had our first bike issue, with David Moore's bike deciding take a break with an electrical problem.

After exhausting all possible fixes on the road side, a rescue call was placed and a Ute ride ensued for Dave and his bike.

A much shortened version of the ride was then completed and we returned back to base for a night of drink, merriment and we set to finding the source of the issue with Dave's bike, which turned out to be a combination of bad earth's, blown fuses, a wiring short and a bad contact, all making the fault hard (but not impossible) for talented fj owners to find.

Next morning (Sunday) with all bikes running again, we set out on a more leisurely ride around the Clarence Valley, where I live with a bit of a sight seeing tour and an early finish at a local watering hole (The Brushgrove Hotel) where Dave and Ian parted way with the group to head home. And the Rally was done.

I would like to thank all those who travelled to the event (everyone except myself) there, and my partner for letting it all happen. Till next time guys.
