So, with all this crappy weather, I didn't even get out into the garage today.....but i did do some rummaging through old photo's and found this one.

It's my wife Liz, on my FJ, in my colour-matched leathers back around 1993.

The photo quality isn't great and I've noticed that at that time I was using the Givi rack and top box with my Krauser pannier set, hence the mis-matched rack & fitting. Crap, I feel old !!!!!!

Yet again, nothing done to the FJ today (or this week). Weather has been awful, a mix of rain, sleet, thick fog, gales and low temps. Thankfully today was dry although the temp was 32F with very little wind, so I took a ride out on the mountain bike. Even if I hadn't gone off-road for part of the ride, the bike would have still gotten filthy as there were muddy sections everywhere, where rivers had broken their banks and fields had flooded and overflowed onto both the main roads and the side roads.

Thankfully I have some nice riding gear, so only my toes got cold - going to order some Sealskinz socks to help out with that.

With all of the Frost and Ice on the roads, it certainly felt colder than 41F out on the bicycle yesterday....still, keeping myself fit for when I can get out on the FJ again. Wet, slushy snow last night means today is bust for any form of 2-wheeled activity.

Well done Dean!  I haven't been out running in a couple of months.  Hopefully I survive the winter.  I used to go to the gym at work.  That gym is closed - plus they won't let me in the door as I am able to work from home anyway.  I did a short ride on my bicycle to the hangar last week but had to walk it on the snowy parts.

My son is home for the weekend and wants to take the motorcycles out.  It's 3F/-16C out as I type this but expected to warm up to 23F/-5C this afternoon.  They haven't run in a month.  The roads are mostly clear-ish, but at those temps it will be a short ride.

At 41F, be careful of heatstroke.  Stay hydrated.

Thanks!  It was a pretty short ride.  Maybe 10 miles!  Not quite long enough for frostbite.

Bl**dy Noel.......that looks fantastic.........I'd honestly rather ride in that heat than in our cold, but maybe NOT on my bicycle  :sarcastic:

You're breakin' my heart - it's -19c here this morning. By the time I plod the 17 steps to my shack, I'll probably be a eunuch,

Millietant

It was back up to 46f yesterday and the sun shone in the morning........but the rain was torrential before sunrise and it has come again, .........

Still, I managed to get out yesterday and test my new Sealskinz, waterproof winter socks on my mountain-bike. I rode just over 25 miles, but went through a lot of a flood water, with quite a lot of the roads around where we live being underwater at every low-point and quite a few stranded cars  :sarcastic:.

The socks are brilliant....perfect for inter motorcycling too  :good2:

Got out for a 100 mile ride today. We have had cold and rainy weather a few days this past week. At the moment I have been able to get 200 miles on the newly rebuilt engine. Today's temperature was not warm at all.

I found this old Stream powered tractor on my ride today.
