Happy New Years day to everyone.

I normally get a ride in on News Years Day, no matter the temperature. Today it would have been a bit tricky.

I wanted a pizza, so I took the Bus instead, it has 4 wheel drive.

I'm not the fastest FJ rider, I am 'half-fast', the fastest slow guy....

Got out on 2 wheels today, but not the FJ.......pedal power again !!. Set out in the pouring rain, but it cleared up after about 20 minutes.

Still very chilly when you're soaked through at these temperatures   :negative:

It's very snowy here in northern Illinois.  I think I'm done riding for a while.  We delayed our return from Florida by a day so we were not driving in the poor weather.  Made it back home, now my FJ has a new stable mate.

I've not seen that one.  I'd have to add hovercraft, monowheels, golf carts, cars and bicycles to the list to make it complete.  The catamaran is supposed to be pretty fast.  Maybe I can pop over to England or down to Australia when this Covid thing is all over.  I'd probably need to bring a cooler though.

So, we had "National Lockdown 2" announced last night, so it'll be no FJ riding for quite a while now....luckily its winter !!

Lockdown exercise for today still included getting out on 2 wheels.....out on my bicycle again.....36F this time, at least it was clear and sunny, but there was a lot of frost and ice out there on the back roads !!!!

I got done working by three today and took a short forty mile ride in the mountains east of me. There were a lot of icy corners.

Very jealous of your blue skies Travis, I'm happy riding when it's cold (even VERY cold), but not when it's cold and wet at the same time.

It's under 20F here today and we have high humidity and thick freezing fog giving virtually zero visibility - I don't think I'll be either in the garage working on the FJ (or the VF), or out cycling today !

Yeah, near zero visibility, best not to  mix it up with distracted stressed drivers on a pedal bike!

Waiex191

It's too cold to even visit the FJ in the hangar.  Heat is out, parts arrive today.

Very few drivers on the road now though, with our Stay at Home, Lockdown in place  :sarcastic: cycling is being promoted, as a socially distanced way of getting outside exercise.............  :good2:

The temperature was around 40 degrees and the roads were mostly dry. The ice is mainly relegated to corners that are in perpetual shade as long as you get home before the nightly frost is laid down.

But I did get the ladders out and take the Christmas Lights down from the community Christmas tree. They've been switched off for a few days now, but with the rain, the ground has been too soft for the ladders. Not after a couple of hard frosts though...levels solid grass  :sarcastic:

The forecast is for it to get up to around 40F next week Travis, so hopefully I might get a little ride out  :good2:
