ok I need a new front tire. The bike came with a brand new Avon rear and a crappy Michelin front (very scalloped). I wanted to get a front tire to match the rear, which is an Avon Roadrider AM26. The front calls for a 120/80/16 but they do not come in that size. The closest I can get is a 110/90 and just wondering if this makes much of a difference?

technically...... your bike will be 1.5 mm higher.

ie 90% of 110mm is 99mm.
80% of 120mm is 96mm.

so the diameter of wheel plus tyre with the 110 is 3mm greater or 1.5mm greater radius.

handling wise is another story..........as it will be higher by 10mm but not as wide......may result in greater sidewall flex......
