Hello all. I'm trying to install new aftermarket grips on my 92 and on the throttle side there is a lot of slop now seems like on the cables. Just feels loose all together. Was thinking this should have been an easy job. Anyone ever run into this kind of problem. Thanks.

Are you installing the grip on the original throttle tube? Or is your grip the type with new tube built in?

I'm replacing with ones that have the tube built in.

Are they the proper bar diameter and cable spacing?

I bought these off eBay and they say they fit an FJ. I know the bar size is ok but the diameter of where the cables hook up might be a hair smaller. Would I just need to adjust the cable tension?
