In 1991, I bought a brand new FJ, and enjoyed it immensely. I sold it and used the funds to buy a 1995 GSXR 750, another bike I enjoyed immensely, in fact, I rode that bike to both coasts. It went when my son was born, 13 years ago.
I got the itch again, and age has likely conspired against me on owning a GSXR again, but, an FJ seemed like it might be rational, and doable.

I bought Justin's bike. This bike is a bit infamous on this site, it would seem:

Justin is the good looking guy, I am the guy who looks like a bad Santa impersonator. My son is getting interested in riding, and I'd like to help him learn and be a good influence. I like working on bikes almost as much as riding them, I have made much of my living on my mechanical skills, and I will post my exploits with this FJ here as it progresses. I trailered the bike home to Minneapolis last Saturday from Missouri, the first adventure with this bike for my son and I. The bike had an outstanding custom paint job in 2001, and some modifications. Time has been mostly kind to the bike, but, it needs what I call the usuals-valve adjustment, plugs, carb sync, and some minor repairs.

Smiling Son, looking forward to good times:

This site has already been a wealth of information and goodwill. I thank you all.

Best regards,
Ted

Looking like a Bad Santa I think is the rule, rather than the exception on this site.   :sarcastic:
