I'm Shure glad I have inverted forks with the awesome Gixxer brakes. On all my Fjs. Or I would have gotten deer no. 3 tonight.

Coming home tonight. Topped the hill. Oh shit. Deer. Slowly crossing the road. Yep another jumping into my lane and stops in the headlight. Already as hard on the brakes as possible. Calculating in my head how much is this going to hurt. Wondering what speed I'll be at when I hit him. I figure. Probably about 20-25 mph. So it's not going to hurt too bad. But still going mess up my bike. Back tire chirping a little snaps him out of it and he jumps forward. I could have slapped him on the ass if I wasn't on the brakes so hard, I guarantee if I had stock brakes I would have him. WTF.

You DO NOT need any more broken bones Danny. Your score card is full.
Sounds like you're getting home from work late at 0 deer-thirty...anyway you could take a cage?
A big cage, like a F350 cage with roo bumpers on the front.

I had a different experience three weeks ago.I took my 71 cb 750 (one of the first production bikes with a disk brake) to Virginia City.when I got to town I applied the rear brake I got a jolt and a loud noise.I pulled over  and found the arm that holds the rear drum brake assembly in place had fallen off and the brake assembly spun breaking the brake pedal rod and twisted the brake shoe arm like a pretzel.

screwed up that picture.I tied up the brake parts for the ride back down the hill home .I took it slow and easy going down .I was doing about twent five mph around one of the tightest inside diminishing corners when I encountered a line of stopped cars due to an accident just ahead.I only had thirty feet when they came into view.I knew when I grabbed the brake I wasn't going to slow much before I hit.Luckily the traffic coming up was slow and torwards the shoulder so I pulled to the left and rode the yellow divider line.I stopped beside the car in front of the one I had just avoided. The car that was following me locked up his brakes and slid to within a foot of the car I just missed. This time I was saved by God and bad brakes.

Yep bee's hate me too.

When I was young and dumber. I was wearing shorts and had one go up my shorts. Stung me right on my Jonson. Pulled off the side of 41. Jumped off the bike. And started whacking myself in the crotch. Then dropped my drawers and pulled the stinger out. Middle of the day. Can't imagine what the people going by thought...

I get funny looks whenever I pull The Stinger out. Doesn't matter what time of day it is.

No, no, no, you are confusing funny looks with people who are laughing....there is a difference, just saying..
