Bummer.
Local VJMC having an overnighter up to Mt Seaview that weekend. Old Pacific Highway there. Then the Oxley Highway, Thunderbolts Way and Bucketts Way coming back.
Bummer too, Must've missed that in the calendar.

So Alan, is that bummer you can't go to the VJMC camp over or bummer you can't make the manshed weekend?

Excellent Alan, it will be great to catch up with you, the regulars and the ring-ins (for the newbies: after just one attendance, your status changes from ring-in to regular)
It will be good to catch up with Ray as well, I haven't seen him in a while.

We are at 4 dyno runs. Any takers for a fifth?

Can you let me know which nights you'll be staying so I can shuffle beds.

Bed allocation thus far is Ray and Alena guest room both nights.

Alf, bedroom Friday.

Noel, are you arriving Friday or Saturday? Your usual is suite is reserved (accompanied by McLaren Vale cab sav. Figs are extra  :sarcastic:)

Real men - swag (I'm not, so I have my own bed with SWMBO aka Nic)

There are a variety of sleeper lounges in the house, so first in best dressed, but no snorers! (only kidding, I'll strangle them in their noisy fucking sleep).
If you snore, Alf has promised to throw his right boot at you, without removing it, if I haven't sorted it out before he hears.

The chooks are sorting breakfast, and there are a couple of pigs, lambs, and cattle getting nervous, not just because we are close to New Zealand ( "Baaa" means - "NO!" ).

Make my smoker the 5th and I'll take a nice comfy sleeping spot, if you don't mind (I'm not a swag man either, nor a snorer) possible arrival on Friday,
hey I'll be there for more than a day  :good:

Bewdy Al, I'll reserve a lounge for you.

IIRC that first lounge didn't suit so we'll try a different one, perhaps a banana bedstead?

It looks like about 12 of us so far so it should be fun.

Troy, tell the chooks that I'll be camping in my usual spot next to the hen house so they need to stock up on ear plugs.
Reserve the first dyno run for me as that will give me time to re-jet and have a second run at the end.
Looking forward to catching up with every one.

Ray, What's your planned route to pass Sydney and what day will that be?

We are planning to leave Thursday Alan, so far I think going down the shortest (coast road) way and arrive at Troys estate sometime Fri Arvo. We are driving down as we will be towing a bike trailer behind us........empty on the way down, and hopefully loaded on the way home.  :good:

Probably camp overnight somewhere before Sydney and then do the 3-4 hour run to Troys on Friday.

With a high risk of being turned back because of snow on my usual routes, I'll be coming up the coast. Can't leave until Friday so it's a 1000km day (ETA Fri PM, in time for drinks). With short daylight this time of the year the question is, do I play roo roulette in the morning or the evening? Can't squeeze that many kms in between dawn and dusk.

Looking forward to it, it's always a great weekend and you are an excellent host. Nowra and Bermagui manshed weekends are my favourite events.

I'll bring the Red!

Noel,

Whats the concern, you don;t have to do any dawn or duck riding for this trip?

By looking at this daylight schedule for Sept 27, you will have more than 12 hours of sunlight on that day. https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/@3923533?month=9&year=2019

At 1000km and traveling at the 100km, you have a 10 hour ride. Add an hour or two for stops & fuel and you have still arrived at your destination within the daylight hours and no dawn or dusk riding required.

You have already set a goal of being there for drinks Friday evening, so if you leave at 6:00am (which is 5 minutes after sunrise) you should be there around 6:00pm (7 minutes before sunset), the perfect time for dinner & drinks.

We all have faith you you can do it.
