a lot of spit back from carbs ,, got that almost fixed .

? ? ?  question  the vacuum line on the #2  carb goes to some type of  mechanical  timing advance  ,, if I  pull the line off  the  carb  side and  SUCK  on the line  ?  should  I be able to suck  air through the  tube  ?  or would /  should it be plugged  and  NO  AIR  is pulled through the  tube ??

I have owned it from day 1   1991  and it does have a vacuum advance under the faring ,,,, I just  do not know  if it is working  correctly  .

Thanks Speedy Gramps

It should seem plugged. It help flash off fuel when you chop the throttle to meet emissions standards. No performance gain with it.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.
