Hi Everyone

I know this may be a long shot but hoping someone has a 86/87 gas tank with cap and keys.

I'm willing to pick up in Ontario.  Let me know what you have.

Thanks

Bob

The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

I need the tank as well.

Thanks

Bob

Oops, missed that part. I have an 86/87 tank that was stripped and left for rust. I bought it to keep it out of the scrap bin. If you are willing to de-rust and paint then send me a PM.

Did you check eBay Motors?

I did a quick search for FJ1200 fuel tank and stopped counting at 5...

I was first hoping to find something in Canada.  Secondly I have checked eBay and there are 2 in the US that are 86/87 petcock versions which are in pretty rough shape.

They are an option if I can't find anything better or closer.

Thanks

Ok Bob, I'll keep an eye out ..... :good:

A option would be the later '89-93 tanks, but you would lose the vacuum petcock.
Although converting over to a fuel pump may not be such a bad idea. You could run a real fuel filter.

Thanks and this is a plan "B" for my 1984 gas cap should it fail.  The option of fuel pump and real filter is certainly an option "C" as I do want to keep my FJ1100.
