Hello my fellow FJ gurus. On first start up my bike on my gets hot on number 2 and 3 exhaust. It's also rough on start up for about 1 minute then all four cylinders kick in and it runs good. It's just the initial start up until it's warm. Being 1 and 4 are in the same coil could it be a bad coil. I have a new battery and the carbs have been cleaned and balance.

Could be the ignition coil.
Could be a dodgy power supply to the ignition coil.
Could be the pick up coil that triggers the ignition coil.
Could be the wires and connectors between the two.

Quick test to help isolate.

Swap the plug wires between 2/3 and 1/4 then swap the coil connectors (I believe they are interchangeable).

If 1/4 fire and 2/3 do not then it's the coil.

If 2/3 continue to fire and 1/4 do not then it's not the coil

Bad spark plug will do that, although it is a bit suspicious to be 1 and 4 at the same time. But who knows.
