Brake Hose Condensation?

Anybody have this issue? There is no change in braking, and it doesn't feel slippery like brake fluid. It appears to be ambient moisture. The hose came with the brake master, so I assumed it was meant for that purpose.

Does it taste like brake fluid or moisture condensation?

ZOA NOM,

Haven't seen that before, so no real help.  I would keep a small white cloth handy (maybe the size of your palm), and keep using that same cloth to wipe down the hose.  If those droplets are anything more than condensation, after a few days the cloth will feel and smell like brake fluid.  If yes, I would replace that rubber tubing with dedicated brake-fluid hose, because if it seeps fluid out, it will be letting moisture seep in.

I would send those pictures to the manufacturer, and see what they may say.
Cheers,
Red

P.S. Life is too short, and health is too valuable, to ride on cheap parade-duty tires.

If the bike was in a cold place and then suddenly got much warmer, it is normal to expect condensation in such places where a fluid is. Like you take a beer out of a fridge during summer.

That's what I was thinking. The bike is kept in a garage, but it has been pretty cold lately.

Brake line sweating is far more common than it should be. The most common reason I've found is the use of "oil and fuel resistant" hose. that is, fuel line. This won't work with brake fluid. A surprising number of shops sell line not fit for purpose.
Rick, change the hose for brake line specific stuff and you'll be good to go.

Yeah, that makes sense. I'm just glad it hasn't compromised the braking. I like the radial master.

Randy - I just don't have words...

Seriously....

Give it the taste test. I am sure you have tasted brake fluid before, I know I have. If it is just condensation then it will be tasteless...

Geez, I didn't know you had gotten to snow flake sensitivity.

I don't think I can leave my bike there anymore, Randy. I worry that you're putting your tongue where it doesn't belong...

Well, did you ever man up  to determine if it was condensation or brake fluid?
