So after reading the misfortunes of a members chain issues ive got new sprockets and chain coming.this bike is really got a new character as it soesnt like a 1/4 tank of fuel.

Correct fuel line routing is critical on gravity fed FJ's.

Take your tank off and take a picture of your fuel line and let us see what you have.

Second common issue is that wonky electric reserve petcock. Are you sure it's opening when switching it on reserve?

Rpm corrected my fuel line set up to oem as I couldn't find the plastic y fitting

Everything from carbs to fuel is less then 2 years old.believe that

Pat Conlon

RPM put the fuel lines on the carbs, and you put the carbs on the bike, I'm asking, did you route the fuel lines correctly?

Gravity feed requires you ride the bike rubber side down...

I think so.indulge me pat.

The single fuel line from the petcock should run *under* the 2 branch lines going to the carbs.

From the vaccum petcock the line runs straight and encircles the #2 primary carb held in place with a bracket then feed to the plastic y which splits in to dual fuel lines that feeds the fuel bowls
