Photos of the areas not seen once together.

1st photo shows how really shallow the gauges are.

2nd photo shows that you have to remove ALL of the internal gauge supports and for the 1200, the clock and clock reset button supports.

3rd photo shows that the wiring can be done as a 100% plug and play unit, needing no added wiring.

I am not 100% positive yours are like this but we have had a few customers send carburetors across the pond to us that were "restricted" The Intake Manifold Boots instead of being 32 mm on the cylinder head side are a much smaller diameter, I don't recall but something like 26 mm or 28 mm. They also use some really big Main Jet Needles that are hardly tapered to lean the  bike way down. And the last thing they do, if my memory serves correct is the jetting is significantly more lean for the "restricted" models.

The handful of sets that we have built for those folks have been amazed at how well the bike runs. It is also simple enough to do yourself if you are competent with cleaning and rebuilding the carbs.

Here's a list of the items to "unrestrict" the bike.

Main Jet Needle
Screw and O Ring Kit Not required but you should replace all the o-rings if breaking down the carbs (cleaning also not required but can't hurt since you have them off and apart anyways)
Main Jet
Pilot Jet
Air Bleed Jet These may not need to be changed, I can't recall if these were smaller than standard models or not

There is no discussion....we know what happens when the fuel pump FJ's go on reserve.

It's the same thing that happens when the '86/87 FJ's go on reserve, and (hint) it ain't got nothin to do with no stinkin ignition interrupt.
