I hope all of our So-Cal brethren are safe from the wildfires.

Watching the news tonight, I see a lot of the area is  under a high fire potential risk.

Take care guys.

The wife and I have been packed and ready to bug out for the last two days. But it seems much calmer in my area. Still plenty to worry about till the flames are contained. Once again the Fire department and other safety agencies are doing an impressive effort.

You folks stay safe down there. Been through that and it isnt fun. Was evacuated for almost 2 weeks in 03. Fire came within 100 ft. of my house. Take care and thoughts and prayers for all

Keep that local radio station on Monkey, it's a great resource.
Hope you have the luck we had up here and come through this unscathed.

Looking at the current fire map for the San Diego Lilac Fire shows that MoPar Steve's house is in the projected path:

Steve, I have a place for you and your family to stay in Leucadia, if you need it.

Update: Just got off the phone to Steve. He's on standby for evacuation, but thankfully the Santa Ana's have died down today. Fingers crossed.

Anyone heard from Ed.

Simi Valley appears to be real close on the news tonight.

I reached out to him a few days ago, just called his cell, got voice mail.

Ed is doing just fine, no worries. I had a short talk over the phone and he ready to ride soon.

Thanks for thinking of me!  All is good (for me) on the fire front.  Burning in the area, but not within 10 miles.  Cannot smell smoke in my area, but plenty to see.  Dark sky's & spectacular sunsets!

Medically, I'm making progress from the ankle surgery, and am planning to ride soon.  It's been a LONG, winding road, with 7 months of Physical Therapy so far,  (3x per week) but it's finally starting to play dividends.  I'm hoping to start back to my exercise program in the next month-ish and that'll mean I'm well enough to start riding.

All the best!
