Vinyl Wrap?

I tired to put a clear protective wrap on the fuel tank of my 1100. After 4 hours of stretching and heating and swearing, it was on and still looked crap. This was because not only does the tank curve over the top, but it then curves in, where your knees go,  so you end up with a heap of creases and excess wrap. I then stuffed my paint trying to remove it.

I done my tank in  3M clear paint protection film. The trick to it is to cut tiny expansion joints in and use a spray bottle with a tiny amount of baby shampoo in it. I do a lot of stuff with this material and decals. It's very " trying"  to say the least.
