No Starter Action

Many thanks to everyone that contributed suggestions and comments on my problem. I started with the starter switch, which was dirty and corroded. After I cleaned it up and reinstalled it, I hit the starter button and she turned over strong like a new bike. Lucky me the first switch I cleaned up was the problem, but I think over time I will check them all to prevent getting stranded someplace. Thanks again to all of you for your help.

  Your not alone, my 86 suffered the same issue, not crazy about that little push button headlight nipple thingy contacts, mine is hanging by a thread, I push it very gently and when it works and does its job I have a big smile on my face, 30 years old but its still working for now, I wonder if the v-max has the same controls.
