I ordered a rebuild for my clutch master from randy a while back, and am just now getting to doing it. But as i got into it, i found that the internal snap ring broke at some point ( probably the cause of the leak), and now i cant get it out. It broke on one side, so i only have one of the small holes to put the pliers into. Has anyone encountered this before? how did you remove it? or does anyone have any off the wild ideas to try? Im open to suggestions.

Thanks,
Ryan

Never mind, I got it, completely by accident. I just snapped the rest of it in half with a flat head screwdriver, and broke it, and it slid right out. but now im having trouble putting the new snap ring from RPM on. I cant compress the ring once its on the innards of the Clutch, because of the two bumps at the bottom of the ring. Advice from here is appreciated, but im gonna keep working, as always.

Thanks,

Ryan

I think I know what you are trying to say...

With the master cylinder held GENTLY in a vice, use a long skinny screwdriver to push the piston all the way down. Then install the snap ring.
