Double the traction, twice the un-sprung weight in the front.... I guess if you lean over enough you are back to only two contact patches.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Answer to another question that I'm not asking.  Kind of like Honda's self-balancing bike.

It's a tire company conspiracy.  Just trying to make us buy 3 tires instead of 2.

Yamaha's not selling enough fork seals?

No thanks. Ugly, and a niche bike if there ever was one. It probably weighs as much as an FJ anyways.

Will give Yamaha props, for putting it out there though.

I can't imagine that there will be a wide selection of performance tires in the 15" range.

[edit] Suprisingly not as bad as I thought, I counted 6 offerings in the 120/70-15" size.

I kinda like it. Might be a bit of a job to filter traffic, but if the front wheels can stay on the road when you're tipped in, it could handle well, maybe? Come on gents, can't be worse than a Can Am.

Props to Yamaha for trying something different. However, it would not be on my radar for a purchase any time soon.

Never have to worry about losing the front end or locking the front brakes. Lots of upside for someone to explore the outer limits of traction.
Function might beat out appearances.  :morning2:

I'd still like a GTS1000. This, though...not so much.
