Gday Andrew, I was thinking just down the motorway , logan motorway then Route 13 or whatever its called.
The quickest way I can get there. I was planning on leaving early about 7 ish cause I have to be home by 1.45pm.

Ken. PS unless you know a better way. I dont have a sat nav so tend to get lost.

Happy to meet at Blacken Ridge McDonalds for 0700hr, The Clock, 7-11 Fuel or Near the Ambulance Station on Bracken Ridge Rd - near Barfoot St for a Run Down the Gateway.

If anybody else is joining us the Ambulance Station is an easy Central point...

It took me 45 min from Rays to Home on a recent run, Sunday afternoon..

Hey Andrew, Unless I hear Different , Ill meet you at maccas at 7 , cheers ken

Hello everybody. Here I am sitting here scratching me bum thinking  'gee, i wonder what the FJ guys are up to?'
so i goto the site and low and behold theres a manshed day in two days.  Well how about that for timing. Wow, theres been soooo much water go under the bridge that I just might have to show up and tell you all whats been happening to Bender and give a little assistance if I can.

I see that Ken and Andrew are meeting up here on the northside, I might follow if thats okay with you guys?
I can bring my MotionPro sync tool as well. I've also got a valve shim tool somewhere around here if needed.

cheers guys, and unless something like extreme intestinal distress comes along, I'll be there!!!

Can I flag for discussion the possibility a Ride and Camp for the Weekend 19th  20th August...

2 trips come to mind

Cheers

Hey Bender, good to hear from you! Should be a fun day if you can get there, great!.   19/20 August Andrew is the Leyburn Sprints weekend, trying to get out there for one day to see the activities. So at this stage I won't be able to do an overnighter, sounds like fun though.

Great day, Thankyou Glen, I managed to fit the indent to my gear selector, Baldy doesn't know it yet but I drop a 12" shifter into his gearbox while helping him do the clutch but don't worry the 36mm socket will prevent the gears from jamming. Brilliant day, I'd put some photos up but my photobucket has turned to crap.

Hi All
Firstly, great day Glenn. You were a wonderful host.
I made the 4 hour journey (each way) to attend, and so glad I did. It was great to catch up with the northern FJ members and lots got done.
We
1) Intsalled a detent kit
2) Fitted a new clutch pack in an FJR
3) Re welded the blinker brackets on my bike and a quick carb balance
4) fitted new wheel bearings
5) Brake line flush
6) miss fire sorted and carb balance
There was more....
Here is a vid I did to record the momentous occasion

Images of Manshed day

Pictures are nice, but the video of that camera man bailing off of the platform in the race car wreck, is a hoot.

Would have like a video of detent kit install, I should have asked before the weekend.
Liked your video Mark, always good to see the open road.
What camera are you running and where is it mounted?

Bozo, nice photos too especially a colour picture of detent kit.

Hi Sparky

Sorry i didn't get vid of the detent install. The camera i use is the - Sony HDRAS100VR Action Camera
Not a bad little unit, and i like its slim design. I have it mounted on the left side of the fairing just below the screen.
I made a solid metal bracket for it at the plastic Go Pro style brackets transmit too much in the way of vibrations.

Alan, bring it down to Bermagui with you in December. I've done a couple already, happy to guide you through it. It may cost you a beer or two though.

Mate Thanks, but That is Such a Long time away..

I know I've been a patient lately but that doesn't mean I have patience. But you never do know , as long as I've got other things to do it might still be there for me to assist you and Yes beers AFTERWARDS.  :drinks:
That's if I'm still here.

I think it was my Z1300 that a mate told me to wait 2 weeks until he was back from NZ and we'd pull it apart and fix it, well when he got back it was it bits ready for him to assist. He was a mechanic and I was still just a Sparky but that old waiting game isn't for me.

Cheers Alan
