I've been fiddling around with photobucket trying to download the pictures from there to Flickr, Not having any luck for some reason, must've broken something somewhere. :unknown:

The process I used was :

1.  Download from photobucket to your hard drive using their instructions. It stores them in a zip file.

2.  Unzip the file.

3.  Upload the pics to Flickr.

The downloading can take quite a while depending on how many pics you select and your internet speed. My library was a few hundred pics so I did it in three batches.  I've only uploaded about 30 to Flickr for my most recent posts.

Hope that helps

Yep tried that. Have about 800 photos all up so I made up some albums and put about 25 pics in each. Click on an album, start the process and next thing a message pops down and says something is wrong, or words to that effect. I think I now know what the problem is, there's some videos mixed in with the pics, so might have to seperate them and try again.

I found a work around, although it might be just temporary to allow your PB photos to work again.

After the .JPG add the following "~original"

So, it will look like this:

and will result in the showing of the photo...

Well that's a surprise. The way Randy said still wouldn't work for me so I started  fiddling. All i did above was pick a random picture from photobucket, right click on the image and clicked on copy image location and posted the link the normal way and it came up with the image. A bit larger than normal, but it works.

Another try.

Fixed it for you.

Look at the very end of the link. I added the "~original" code and it shows up.

Yep tried that Randy and still came up with that new photobucket image. I'm sure I'm doing it right but somethings going wrong somewhere.

Mmmm.. Looks like my earlier successful attempts are now gone. Don't think I'll even bother mucking around with photobucket anymore.

Sad to have to re-work old threads....

I was unable to download any of my pics from PB...  Did some research and found that MANY people are also struggling to get their images back from PB. Oddly, the download button seemed to fail right around the time they switched over to a "pay to play" system....

If you look for it it there is a $1.99 plugin for Google Chrome that fixes it and allows your pics to be downloaded from PB.  Has to be from Chrome...  Still not perfect for me as some shots had to be retrieved individually to get them and some were formatted into low flat shapes....

Anyway - I was able to get back 500+ images doing this for $1.99.....

Now I need a Mod to open up my Project Write Up thread!

Tim, I am not sure how but I know Randy wants to give you access to your build for photo corrections. As well as many others that have made these kinds of contributions. So stand by for updates.

Thanks Monkey!   I PM'ed Pat and he is chatting with Randy about getting me access....  Meanwhile I am testing Flickr....

I did try to modify Tim's R1 project posts to insert ~original in the photo code. The photofuckit pictures did not come through:

See Reply #5 on his project topic: http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=3148.msg26011#msg26011

Below is what happened after I did the ~original insert on Tim's photo codes. Note that the photosuckit logo did not even come through on the modified post

BUT, if you click 'Reply with Quote' to this post, you will see the picture codes that I modified.

This ~original seems to work fine for individual pictures, but multiple pictures it does not....weird huh?

Andy- thanks for that info! I was surprised that those specs were not more easily found on the web!

Pat- I had to go back and look at Marc's write up again- I missed the swingarm dimensions thanks for pointing it out. I doubt very much that the R1 swinger will work on the FJ as the pivot is over 10".  I am going to try though.  I have been looking with great interest at Frank's modded gauge.  I decided that I really need to keep my stock instruments because my 93 has only 13k original miles and is in very good condition. I want the suspension upgrades but a close to stock look at the bars etc. I will probably start looking for some first gen FZ1 wheels to use so that I can keep my speedo- that means these sweet 07 R1 wheels will be up for grabs.

I found this extender (here on the FJowner's board I think) that might work to allow the nearly 3" shorter 2007 R1 forks to mount. Shown just below the top triple- the extender slips over the fork top and then steps back down to 50mm adding 1-2 inches to the fork length.

Here are the parts I scored:

And here's the FJ I want to land them on:

I am hoping to keep the stock exhaust system as I have one of the SS Delkevic collector boxes.  Does the FZ1 Thunderace swingarm allow the stock exhaust or does it require an aftermarket system?

I just cut & paste your link above, then added the work around at the end of the hyperlink.

Hit the "reply with quote" button to see the work around link.
