Just FYI... gasoline dissolves RTV Silicone.  Carry a fire extinguisher; you're gonna need it.

Life throws up these complexities. Fortunately, sometimes the answers are simple ones:
Avoid dreaded Covid19 - stay home, wash hands
Avoid Fj fire - get RPM petcock.
