You really should ride "MOSQUITO RIDGE ROAD" & "Wentworth Springs Road"
Have fun!

Number three is a belter, a really good ride, that "Bucks lake" road from Oroville to Quincy is a must ride, and I'd recommend doing it clockwise, then coming back down "La Porte" rather than the 49.
Happy Trails!

Cory and I are having cheese and crackers with fancy beer in our air conditioned accommodations with Alan planning our ride to the coast tomorrow. See you when we get back to camp late evening.

Hey earlybirds.. ride west to stay out of the rain.  Heading to the coast is a great Idea.

Thats a good suggestion Klavdy, I think one of the rides were through La Porte, but coming in from Hwy 49. Clockwise is from Oroville is great- to be discussed at camp-re: Mosquito...I believe it's pretty rough from our winter

Go north on "BUCKS LAKE ROAD", not Hwy 70, much better ride!

Passed a dark blue 89 heading west on 49 about 15 miles outside of Downieville.

Was it a 2017 WCR attendee?

Long live the WCR.
It was a whole new level of excellence
Mammoth props to Randy and family for making it all a reality.
This event should be considered FJ legend.

The place is almost empty this year on Sunday...that's right almost...

Frank and Diane stayed over for Sunday night as well this year.

Once Frank slept it off (more on that later), we headed out for 225 miles of FJ bliss. We tore up 49, stopped in Downieville and had lunch. We continued east to 89. South on 89 to Truckee, down to Donner Lake, some more twisties before an all out rocket run back to Coloma.

As I was typing this post, I hear a rustling in the bushes. Out walks a deer and her offspring.

There is nothing like a great day of hearing the sweet sounds of the FJ singing at 8-10K all day followed up by the evening spent around an open fire.
